Rupert Peddle

Rupert’s visual journey started early. Family slideshows were the Netflix of the time, and this progressed to shooting his own photos on his first school trip away. He studied engineering and computers, which put him in a great position when digital cameras took over from film. An interest in moving images then took hold, leading to numerous mountain bike and snowboard films, of varying quality! His film industry journey began when he connected with the local short film scene, and he has not looked back since.

Rupert mainly works in independent drama productions, both long and short form, where he relishes the creative possibilities of collaborating with other crew to visually develop and propel the narrative. He is also at home on HETV and commercial sets, and has worked on numerous music videos where his sense of rhythm can come into full effect. Rupert is known for being personable, professional, and for working creatively with others while keeping a level head and sense of humour under inevitable pressure. He is an ACO Associate Member.

Off set, Rupert enjoys the safe and sensible activities of surfing, snowboarding, and mountain biking, with a bit of mixology and DJing on the side.
