Mark Kozlowski

Mark has worked in the film, TV and commercial production industry for over 20 years, contributing to more than 500 commercials as well as a wide range of major motion pictures, independent features, shorts and documentaries. As part of the original generation of DITs, he helped shape and define the role during the industry’s rapid transition to digital camera technology and emerging on-set workflows.

He works across an exceptionally broad spectrum of productions – from large-scale studio features to high-end TV and fast-turnaround commercial shoots – bringing a calm, solutions-driven approach to the unique challenges each environment presents. Known for his clarity, technical insight and collaborative attitude, he provides guidance that supports both creative intentions and technical integrity on set.

Beyond his on-set work, Mark is a recognised voice in the industry. He frequently gives talks, workshops and workflow sessions, sharing expertise with cinematographers, production teams and aspiring DITs. His consulting work for Netflix included extensive contributions to a Partner Support document that defines the roles and responsibilities within modern on-set image and colour pipelines. He now continues this work with Digital Orchard, helping to train and develop the next generation of DITs and future-facing workflows.

Owning his own comprehensive kit, Mark provides On-Set, Near-Set, Data Management and Dailies services, and also operates a fully equipped DIT van with independent power. Offering a versatile and mobile solution for productions of any scale.
