Expanding the Pathway: Orchard Crew Launches 2025 Camera Trainee Scheme

Building on the success of Digital Orchard’s Access: 2024 program for DIT and Video, we are thrilled to announce that for 2025, the scheme is expanding to include a dedicated Camera Trainee pathway under Orchard Crew.

Bridging the Gap

While Digital Orchard continues to formalise training for DIT and Video technicians, Orchard Crew is opening doors for the next generation of camera talent. Selected trainees will receive a one-year subscription to the Orchard Crew Diary Service, providing them with professional representation on our website and a platform to kickstart their freelance careers.

What’s Included?

The Camera Trainee scheme is designed to offer a comprehensive 'toolkit' for a career on set:

Mentorship: Direct access to Orchard Crew’s network of seasoned camera technicians.

Training & Workshops: Hands-on technical sessions and kit room exposure at DO HQ.

On-Set Experience: Opportunities for shadowing and work placements on real productions.

Career Guidance: Expert advice on navigating rates, negotiations, and networking.
